I've been working as a professional artist in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, West Wales (U.K.) since 1981 and from 2006 to 2009 studied for and completed my B.A. in Fine Art, with Honours, at Trinity University College, Carmarthen.
My work is eclectic and wide ranging but I delight in bringing the unseen in nature into sharp focus, especially in my paintings of bark and lichens. Though unfamiliar these works are, in fact, accurate reproductions of what nature almost hides from us. I've also worked with the National Trust in Wales on several occasions, running willow workshops (large scale outdoor pieces such as a 32' (13 metre) willow dragon) and producing a piece of outdoor land-art (a Celtic Circle – please see the Photographs Gallery) for the grounds of Newton House, Parc Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, West Wales and another piece for Carmarthen County Council to stand in the town of Carmarthen itself. I hold several exhibitions each year throughout south and west Wales and I'm also a member of a busy cooperative of artists who own and run the prestigious King Street Gallery in Carmarthen.
